This role is site based, working for a highly respected and recognisable process related organisation in Kendal.


Due to site growth, one of the most respected organisations in the area is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Team Lead to become a vital part of their maintenance strategy on shift.

The position:

The Shift Engineering Team Leader plays a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of plant operations.

This position encompasses diverse responsibilities across multiple functions within the company, requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet operational demands, and during periods outside of core operating hours will assume responsibility for the site / teams.

Operating in accordance with our policies, procedures, and safety protocols the post holder will lead a team to uphold safety standards, optimize production processes and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following skills & experience:

Have completed a formal engineering apprenticeship from within an industrial/ manufacturing/ process background.

Come from a continuous process/ manufacturing environment and have a passion for minimising plant downtime using strong fault finding skills. 

Have experience in planned maintenance strategies (PPM) and have a strong focus towards continuous improvement.

Leadership/ Management experience is essential. This could have been obtained through project leadership, man-management, mentoring etc..

Ideally, you will have some instrumentation knowledge including: process flow, pressure and temperature measurements.
